Financial Market Consumers means borowers, depositors, other consumers of bank products and services, insurance policy holder, insured, insurance beneficiaries, sufferers, as well as other participants of supervision subjects supervised by FIMSA.
Legal documents directly or indirectly related to the protection of rights and legal interests of the financial amrket consumers have broad area of coverage. This legal documents can be grouped as general, i.e. those directly dealing with protection of rights of consumers, and those related to credit organizations, insurance market and capital market. As it a practice in advanced countries, there is no unified legal acts to protect rights of consumers of these groups and the rights of financial market consumers are defined by individual legal acts.
At the same time, while reviwing applications of consumers and investors, any gaps and contradictions in the current legislation, leading to the violation their rights, results in FIMSA making proposals on ammendments and changes to the relevant legislation.
